Have you ever wanted to get all your mad science goodness in one place, along with a healthy dose of horror and more double entendres about the living dead than have ever previously been recorded on a single album? Well, you're in the right place, and Red Roses and Dead Things is the album for you. From the seriously silly ("Oh, Michelle") to the seriously sublime ("Causes and Effects"), with jaunts into the buckets o' creepy ("Dear Gina"), Red Roses and Dead Things has it all, and most of it is deceased.
Red Roses and Dead Things features performances by Jeff Bohnhoff, Michelle Dockrey, Tony Fabris, Maya Bohnhoff, Paul Kwinn, Amy McNally, and Caradwen Arellanes, along with a special cross-continental guest appearance by Professor Tom Smith himself. With sound engineering and production by Jeff Bohnhoff, cover art by Bill Mudron, and interior design by Chris Mangum, this is an album that you don't want to miss. Seriously. It might mutate if stored in bulk, so you should absolutely buy several to help us split the herd.
Red Roses and Dead Things was released in January of 2009, with an initial print run of 1,000 copies. It's available now from all the finest filk dealers, and can be ordered from CD Baby. Order yours while it's still shambling!

"Every single song on it speaks to something in my mental landscape, and I can get lost in it for hours. Besides, the studio recording is nice, but if you love 'Pretty Little Dead Girl' you just have to have the live version. It's a requirement." —Olna Jenn.
"Profound and funny at the same time." —Mia Nutick.
"It's brilliant. And I'm not just saying that because I love Seanan far beyond reason." —Rob W.
Seanan's first album, Pretty Little Dead Girl: Seanan McGuire and Friends Live at OVFF 2005 contains a wide variety of messages from our alien overlords, cleverly disguised as a live recording of Seanan's 2005 OVFF Toastmistress concert. We can't promise that this CD holds the secrets to wealth, power, and beating rush hour traffic...but hey, we also can't promise that it doesn't. What we can promise is eleven tracks about the evil within, the dangers of vampire slaying, mad science romance and drag-racing ghosts. Whether they contain secret wisdom or not, you'll want to listen to them over and over again. Especially when they get stuck in your head.
Pretty Little Dead Girl was released in May 2006, and features performances by Paul Kwinn, Michelle Dockrey, Amy McNally, Merav Hoffman, Batya Wittenberg, Tony Fabris, Erica Neely, Meg Heydt, Rose Marshall and the Rosettes, and—despite being on a different continent at the time of recording—Simon Fairborne. If you missed OVFF 2005, this is the next best thing to being there—and if you were there, well, here's your chance to catch the lyrics you missed while you were distracted by Seanan removing her clothes! Order yours today!

"With its eminently catchy tunes that will burrow themselves in your brain like a creature from a horror movie, and lyrics that are morbid, hilarious, and beautifully haunting by turn and all at once, this beautifully crafted album has made its way into my most-played list where it clearly intends to make a last stand with sawed-off shotguns and chainsaws and trebuchets." —Lisa E.
"I LOVE IT!" —Susan M.
"Overall, the whole album is made of win. Good thing you can't wear out CDs easily." —Elishabet.
Stars Fall Home (May, 2007) was Seanan's first full-length studio album, and included fourteen original tracks, as well as a cover of Talis Kimberley's "Still Catch the Tide." The songs bridged genres and musical styles, ranging from true love, alien mind-control slugs, and comic books, to modern mythology, small town ghosts, and the social lives of dinosaurs.
This album featured performances by Paul Kwinn, Michelle "Vixy" Dockrey, Tony Fabris, Amy McNally, Kristoph Klover, Alisa Garcia, Luis Garcia, Margaret Davis, Deirdre McCarthy, Kris Yenney, Beckett Gladney, Arlene "Callie" Hills, Mich Sampson, Debbie Ohi, Mike Whitaker, Steve Macdonald, Jeff Bohnhoff, Maya Bohnhoff, Erica Neely, Merav Hoffman, and that truck that kept driving past on the road outside the studio. Principal recording took place at Flowinglass Studios, with additional recording taking place at Mystic Fig, The Brainpan, and the Mill House. Final mixing was performed by Kristoph Klover.
Some copies of Stars Fall Home remain available from local filk dealers, but the CD is otherwise considered out of print. Cover photography copyright and courtesy of Gian-Paolo Musumeci. Cover design by Beckett Gladney.
